Placements24 is partnering with a client seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote role. The candidate will own the design lifecycle of mechanical components and systems, from concept through validation, leveraging advanced simulations and robust documentation.

Strong remote collaboration and independent work skills are required. The role emphasizes expert mechanical principles, manufacturing integration, and clear communication across virtual teams to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical design, analysis and product development.
• Expertise in 3D CAD and advanced simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
• Strong ability to work remotely and communicate across virtual teams.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design and development lifecycle of mechanical components and systems from concept to validation.
• Perform analytical and simulation-based assessments (FEA, CFD) to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Develop technical documentation including CAD models, drawings, BOMs and specs.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues to meet milestones.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes within the remote team.
