Placements24 seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Randburg to lead the integration of complex electro-mechanical systems. You will design, verify, and optimize components within larger architectures, driving performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers and software teams, create detailed 3D models and drawings, and perform FEA to validate designs while mentoring junior engineers in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design and systems integration.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools and FEA software.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and integration of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and tolerance analyses using CAD software.
• Perform rigorous FEA simulations to validate performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical, software and other stakeholders for system integration.
• Define testing protocols and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
