You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, using advanced simulations to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, expert CAD/FEA skills, strong GD&T knowledge, and proven project leadership.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical product design.
• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks or similar high-end CAD packages and FEA software.
• In-depth knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
• Proven experience in leading design projects and managing technical challenges.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for new products, ensuring all technical specifications are met.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials using CAD software.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to validate designs.
• Work closely with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for production processes.
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement solutions throughout the product development cycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and tools in Vereeniging.
