The role requires a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years in mechanical design with 5+ in marine/offshore, and expert use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and FEA tools.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with marine focus.
• 10+ years in mechanical design, with at least 5 years in marine or offshore engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, plus FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus).
• Knowledge of marine environments and industry standards.
• Experience with naval architecture principles is advantageous.
• Able to lead projects and work autonomously in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for virtual teamwork.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for critical project needs.

Aufgaben

• Lead the mechanical design and development of complex systems for marine vessels and offshore equipment.
• Utilise CAD and simulation software to create designs, perform stress analysis, and validate performance.
• Specify materials and components suitable for corrosive marine environments.
• Collaborate with naval architects, electrical engineers, and project managers virtually.
• Develop and oversee testing protocols for marine mechanical components and systems.
• Manage design documentation and ensure compliance with maritime standards (DNV, ABS).

• Stay updated on new technologies and materials relevant to marine engineering.
