Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion, Gauteng, is seeking a Senior Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive operational excellence by applying lean principles across production processes. You will identify waste, improve workflows, and lead change in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field, 5+ years in lean, and Lean Six Sigma certification; ERP familiarity is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operations management, with lean focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, JIT).
• Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and waste in production processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices.
• Conduct process analysis and efficiency studies to identify areas for improvement.
• Train and mentor production staff and management on lean principles and tools.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and workshops to drive problem-solving and improvement.
• Develop and track KPIs related to lean implementation and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure successful integration of lean practices.
