Job summary

Marvel Placement Consultants is seeking a Lead Engineer (Mining and Projects) for a Brakpan-based opportunity. The role oversees multidisciplinary teams across mining and mineral processing, from feasibility through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mining/EPCM, a BEng/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, and preferably Pr. Eng registration. Strong leadership and risk management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) will be advantageous.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale mining capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in mining and mineral processing projects.
• Manage engineering studies from concept through feasibility, detailed design and execution.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation to ensure delivery.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, piping and instrumentation disciplines.
• Drive project execution while monitoring costs, risks and performance.
