Job summary

Marvel Placement Consultants seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Leader to oversee multi-disciplinary teams on mining EPCM projects. You will drive engineering leadership from concept through commissioning, coordinating across disciplines to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and budget oversight, with exposure to HAZOPs, FEED and value engineering. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or Metallurgical).
• Registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng. preferred.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale mining capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across mining EPCM projects.
• Provide engineering leadership from concept studies through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate activities across mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, process, piping and instrumentation disciplines.
• Review and approve designs, calculations and specifications.
• Ensure deliverables meet safety, budget and client requirements.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors and vendors throughout the lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Lead design reviews, HAZOPs and value engineering initiatives.
• Support procurement with technical bid evaluations and vendor reviews.
