Job summary

Indsafri is seeking a Senior Java BPM Developer to drive design and delivery of complex BPM/workflow solutions in a banking/financial services context. You will implement, integrate and optimise workflows using IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda, modelling with BPMN 2.0 and DMN, and collaborating across teams.

You will work with Java 11+, Spring Boot and microservices, integrate with APIs, and ensure robust CI/CD and testing practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Banking or financial services exposure is preferred.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in business process analysis and automation.
• Strong Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices experience.
• Hands-on IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda 7/8 experience.
• BPMN 2.0, DMN and Camunda Modeler proficiency.
• Experience modelling, deploying and supporting workflows.
• Experience with external task workers, orchestration and incident handling.
• Experience integrating workflows with custom UIs.
• Experience with Kafka / Confluent and event-driven integrations.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Experience with functional and performance testing.
• Understanding of data-driven decision automation and AI-enabled workflow optimisation.
• Strong solution design and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex software and workflow solutions.
• Design and deploy scalable, maintainable and fault-tolerant components.
• Integrate BPM/workflow solutions with APIs, microservices and event-streaming platforms.
• Troubleshoot workflow, integration and software issues.
• Develop and execute unit and system testing.
• Support deployments, monitoring and production environments.
• Identify opportunities for business process automation and optimisation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers.
