Job summary

Indsafri seeks a Senior Java BPM Developer to join our team in South Africa. The role focuses on hands-on development and integration of BPM/workflow solutions using IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda, with a strong emphasis on Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices.

You will model, deploy and support workflows, integrate with APIs and event streams, and participate in testing and production support. Banking/financial services experience is preferred to understand domain needs.

Qualifications

Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field
Kafka / Confluent certification – required/preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and configure complex software and workflow solutions
Design and deploy scalable, maintainable and fault‑tolerant components
Integrate BPM/workflow solutions with APIs, microservices and event‑streaming platforms
Troubleshoot workflow, integration and software issues
Develop and execute unit and system testing
Support deployments, monitoring and production environments
Identify opportunities for business process automation and optimisation
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers
