Job summary

RPO Recruitment represents a leading construction client in Cape Town seeking an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control, tender BOQs, and contract administration on diverse SA projects.

You should hold a BTech in Quantity Surveying, have 5+ years' experience, be proficient in CCS and Buildsmart, and be willing to travel; a valid driver's license is required. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BTech in Quantity Surveying (NQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification.
• JBCC/NEC formal courses
• CCS courses & certificates
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Proficient in CCS (Candy Construction Computer Software) – must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with CCS.
• Buildsmart proficiency
• Drawing up BOQ for tenders and measurements from plans
• Conducting Monthly progress valuations
• Knowledge of how to prepare and submit an RFI List
• Knowledge of various construction contracts used in SA. (JBCC + NEC)
• Monthly forecast schedule for live projects
• Willingness and ability to travel to various project locations as required.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable own transport.
• Strong analytical and cost management abilities with a focus on accuracy and detail.
• Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
