A leading construction company is looking to appoint Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to join its teams across the Western Cape, Gauteng, and Free State regions.
The successful candidates will be responsible for cost management, commercial analysis, valuations, tender documentation, contract administration, and cost control across building construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with a solid building construction background, strong commercial awareness, and proven CCS experience, who is capable of taking responsibility for cost management and analysis throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform project cost planning and cost management.
- Prepare estimates, tenders, and contract documentation, including Bills of Quantities.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis.
- Apply value management principles to establish and maintain project budgets.
- Identify and manage commercial and project risks.
- Prepare and review monthly valuations and claims through measurement from drawings and on-site measurements.
- Review and finalise project final accounts.
- Ensure accurate recording of site information relating to site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer.
- Review progress quantities for payment claims and evaluate the progress of construction work.
- Assist with establishing client requirements and undertaking project feasibility studies.
- Identify, analyse, and develop appropriate responses to commercial risks.
- Assess and manage contractual claims.
- Maintain a sound understanding of the various building contracts currently in use.
- Liaise with project teams, site personnel, clients, consultants, and contractors regarding commercial and cost-related matters.
Minimum Requirements
- BTech Quantity Surveying, BSc Quantity Surveying, or similar qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within the construction industry.
- Proven experience within building construction.
- Strong cost management and commercial experience.
- Proven CCS experience – essential.
- Good understanding of construction contracts, valuations, claims, and final accounts.
- Strong measurement and cost analysis capabilities.
