Placements24 is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst in Stellenbosch to drive risk management across insurance portfolios. You will develop frameworks, perform detailed risk assessments and deliver strategic recommendations to senior management.

The role requires a strong quantitative background, proficiency with R/Python/SAS and Excel, and collaboration with underwriting, actuarial and finance teams to embed risk considerations in business decisions.

Formación

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• Strong statistical analysis and modelling abilities.
• Experience with risk management in insurance/financial services.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and refine risk management strategies and frameworks for insurance portfolios.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and quantify potential risks.
• Monitor KRIs and build early warning systems for emerging threats.
• Analyze financial data, market trends, and operations for risk exposure.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management and committees.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial and finance to integrate risk management.
