Marsh is seeking a seasoned insurance professional to join our Sales team in Cape Town / Stellenbosch. You will drive new business development, secure large corporate and upper mid-market clients, and act as a trusted advisor on commercial insurance solutions.

This role demands a proven track record in new business growth, strong relationships with executives, and the ability to lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting to onboarding.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years' proven success in New Business / Business Development within corporate or upper mid-market insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to secure and grow large corporate accounts.
• Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance products and risk solutions.
• Established market relationships and strong networking capability within the insurance industry.
• RE qualification and FAIS-compliant credentials (Non-negotiable).
• ACII / HCII / Fellowship advantageous.
• DOFA certificate and INSETA credits.

Aufgaben

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the mid-market and corporate insurance sector.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with executives, key decision-makers, and industry stakeholders.
• Lead the full new business lifecycle: prospecting, solution design, negotiation, onboarding, and handover.
• Structure and present tailored insurance and risk solutions aligned to client needs and risk profiles.
• Provide technically sound advice across a broad range of commercial insurance classes.
• Collaborate with internal service and specialist teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing client support.
• Deliver revenue growth by achieving/exceeding agreed new business and income targets.
• Develop and execute business development initiatives and market penetration strategies.
• Identify and drive cross-selling opportunities across business divisions.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and activity reporting in line with company standards.
• Represent the business professionally in the market and strengthen insurer/stakeholder relationships.
