Placements24 in Centurion is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our industrial operations team. The role focuses on design, implementation, calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems to optimize process performance and safety.

The successful candidate will work on PLC programming, SCADA configuration, instrument calibration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with operations and maintenance for improved efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering.
• Proficiency with PLC and DCS systems.
• Experience with field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus).

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and select instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
• Develop and implement control strategies, including PLC programming and SCADA configuration.
• Perform calibration, testing, and maintenance of instruments and control loops.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve process performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies for all control systems.
