Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer for our Upington, Northern Cape facility. Lead design, integration, and optimization of automation systems across processing units, ensuring safe and efficient operation with DCS/PLC platforms.

The role requires a strong background in instrumentation, control theory, and SIS, with a track record in large-scale projects and collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with specialization in Instrumentation and Control.
7+ years in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably Oil & Gas.
Proven experience with DCS and PLC platforms.
Strong knowledge of process control, SIS, and loop tuning.

Responsibilities

Design and implement instrumentation and control systems for Oil & Gas facilities.
Develop P&IDs, control philosophies, and datasheets.
Configure and troubleshoot DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
Ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
