Job summary

Greif, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across our global facilities.

You will perform instrumentation work, calibrations, and loop checks, diagnose PLC/HMI/drive issues, and translate findings into actionable work orders. You will plan and execute preventive maintenance, conduct root cause analyses, and collaborate with production, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure safe operations and

Qualifications

• Advanced troubleshooting across electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation/control systems.
• Ability to read schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams and update documentation.
• Experience using CMMS to schedule work, track histories, and analyze failures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to restore safe operation.
• Performs instrumentation and controls work, including installation and calibration of sensors, transmitters, analyzers, valves, and related devices.
• Diagnoses PLC/HMI/drive issues, isolates faults and implements corrective actions with controls specialists as needed.
• Executes preventive and predictive maintenance and translates findings into work orders to reduce downtime.
• Conducts root cause analyses and recommends reliability improvements and design changes.
• Plans and prioritizes work orders, determines repair approach, and coordinates with operations for safe startup.
• Completes calibrations and maintains records; updates CMMS histories and asset hierarchies.
• Identifies critical spares and provides input on MRO inventory and vendor selection.
• Reads and updates electrical schematics and P&IDs; suggests design improvements for maintainability.
• Mentors colleagues and may lead small maintenance tasks or contractor activities on shift.
