Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join a Pretoria plant maintenance team. You will ensure safe operation of electrical systems, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial electrical equipment and control systems.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or heavy industry, knowledge of PLCs, and adherence to SA electrical codes and safety standards. This on-site position offers stability and opportunities for professional growth.

Formación

• Certified Journeyman/Master Industrial Electrician qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control circuits, and PLC systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with high-voltage equipment and safety protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems efficiently and effectively.
• Knowledge of South African electrical codes and safety standards.
• Physical capability for demanding environments (climbing, kneeling, lifting).
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical equipment including motors, generators, control panels, switchgear, and lighting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize production disruptions.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules and procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Work with low and medium voltage systems and troubleshoot distribution issues.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
