Job summary

Hewitt Colenbrander Recruitment / HC Recruit seeks a technically skilled professional to perform mechanical repairs, PLC programming, and routine electrical inspections on manufacturing lines. You will manage spare parts, design efficient workflows, and mentor staff while ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, CAPEX control, and adherence to OHS/LOTO procedures, with a focus on reducing downtime and optimizing energy usage.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance in manufacturing settings.
• Ability to program PLCs, calibrate sensors and troubleshoot lines.
• Knowledge of safety standards and electrical codes.
• Proven capability to manage parts stock and budgeting.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
• Attention to detail and compliance with OHS/LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical repairs and clean electrical panels.
• Inspect wiring, fixtures and appliances on routine basis.
• Program PLCs, calibrate sensors and troubleshoot lines.
• Manage spare parts stockroom and advise on replacements.
• Design workflows to minimize waste and track downtime.
• Oversee CAPEX budgets and operational expenses.
• Supervise and mentor staff; ensure safety and compliance.
• Issue Certificates of Compliance for electrical installations.
