Pivot Services in Cape Town is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead supply chain optimization initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and inventory systems. This senior role drives design improvements, cost reductions and performance excellence.

You will lead a team of engineers and analysts, steer major optimization projects, and collaborate with partners to implement best practices and new technologies across the full supply chain.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on supply chain and logistics operations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large‑scale optimization projects and leading teams.
• Expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena), and advanced analytics.
• In‑depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of industrial engineering strategies for the entire supply chain, from inbound logistics to final delivery.
• Analyze current supply chain processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement optimized warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and inventory control strategies.
• Develop and manage transportation models to ensure cost‑effective and timely delivery of goods.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to forecast demand, plan capacity, and optimize resource allocation.
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the supply chain, monitoring progress and reporting on outcomes.
• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers and supply chain analysts.
• Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and carriers to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and best practices in supply chain management.
