• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing large optimization projects.
• Expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation, and performance analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and WMS/TMS systems.

About the Role

This hybrid role is essential for driving significant improvements across our client's supply chain operations. You will be responsible for optimizing processes, implementing advanced logistical solutions, and leading a team of engineers focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and service enhancement. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain engineering and a passion for innovation, offering a dynamic blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility within the vibrant Cape Town economic landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of optimized supply chain processes, warehouse layouts, and material handling systems.
• Develop and deploy data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs throughout the supply chain.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools, simulation modeling, and statistical techniques to identify areas for improvement and test potential solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
• Collaborate closely with operations management, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new systems and processes.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to monitor supply chain effectiveness and identify trends.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex, large-scale optimization projects.
• Expertise in supply chain modeling, simulation, and performance analysis tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and WMS/TMS systems.
