Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer for our Paarl facility. You will lead lean manufacturing initiatives, drive process optimization, and oversee continuous improvement projects across production, quality, and engineering teams.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to lead complex projects, and a proven track record in manufacturing excellence within high-precision environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive industrial engineering experience in a demanding manufacturing environment (aerospace/auto preferred).
• Deep expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; Black Belt preferred.
• Proven track record leading and delivering major process improvements.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with simulation software (Arena, FlexSim) and CAD tools.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of lean manufacturing strategies on the production floor.
• Analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, design and implement improvements for efficiency and throughput.
• Conduct time and motion studies to set standard times.
• Develop and maintain production documentation (SOPs, work instructions, process flows).
• Drive Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality and reduce scrap.
• Manage project plans for new equipment installations and process upgrades.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for operational effectiveness.
• Mentor junior engineers and manufacturing staff.
• Ensure processes meet aerospace standards and safety regulations in Paarl.
