Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to oversee and enhance our client’s supply chain and logistics operations in Centurion, Gauteng. The role leads a team of industrial engineers to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and increase agility across the distribution network.

You will guide strategic initiatives for warehouse operations, inventory and transportation optimization, and implement lean practices while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, SCM, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial engineering with emphasis on supply chain and logistics management.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Expertise in supply chain optimization, WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, statistical, simulation, and data visualization skills.
• Proven project management capabilities with on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with automation and robotics in warehouse environments.
• Eligible to work in South Africa with hybrid work in Centurion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the industrial engineering team focused on supply chain and logistics.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation networks.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Implement lean principles across all logistics functions.
• Design and manage implementation of new warehouse layouts, material handling systems, and automation technologies.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for supply chain efficiency, accuracy, and cost.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners for seamless execution.
• Develop forecasting and capacity planning models.
• Oversee budget management for industrial engineering projects within the supply chain division.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards for logistics operations.
