Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on logistics and supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in optimizing warehouse operations, transportation management, and inventory control.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Knowledge of lean logistics principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).

Responsibilities

• Analyze the entire supply chain network, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management, to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement optimized warehouse layouts, material flow strategies, and storage systems.
• Design and improve transportation routes and logistics networks to minimize transit times and costs.
• Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model supply chain scenarios and evaluate potential improvements.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics and KPIs for logistics operations and report on trends and performance to management.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies within warehousing and distribution functions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and optimize supply chain management software and systems.
• Manage projects related to logistics infrastructure upgrades, automation, and process enhancements in the Gauteng region.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices in all logistics operations within Centurion.
• Work closely with suppliers and customers to improve inbound and outbound logistics processes.
