Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer for an advanced manufacturing facility in Sandton, Gauteng. The role links product development with manufacturing to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability for consumer electronics.

You will lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, optimize processes and layouts, perform time studies and cost analyses, and guide cross‑functional teams from design through mass production.

Qualifikationen

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in industrial engineering with focus on DFM and NPI.
• Experience optimizing manufacturing for consumer electronics or high-tech industries; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with R&D and product design to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and layouts for new product introductions.
• Conduct feasibility, time studies, and cost analyses.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and quality.
• Design and implement testing and quality control procedures.
• Oversee pilot production runs and troubleshoot challenges.
• Maintain process documentation and SOPs.
• Identify new technologies and equipment to support advanced manufacturing.
• Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and quality standards.
• Ensure smooth transition of products from development to mass production.
