Wesbank in Sandton, Gauteng is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to bridge product development and manufacturing integration. You will ensure new products are designed for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability, and you will optimize processes across design, prototyping, and mass production.

The role demands a strong background in DFM, NPI, Lean and Six Sigma, plus hands-on experience improving manufacturing performance in high-tech environments.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in industrial engineering focusing on product development, DFM, and NPI.
• Experience optimizing manufacturing processes for consumer electronics or similar high-tech industries.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and advanced problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with R&D and product design to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of new product designs.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts for new product introductions.
• Conduct feasibility studies, time studies, and cost analyses for new product manufacturing.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Design and implement robust testing and quality control procedures for new products.
• Oversee pilot production runs and troubleshoot any manufacturing challenges.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions and SOPs.
• Identify and recommend new technologies and equipment to support advanced manufacturing initiatives.
• Train manufacturing personnel on new product processes and quality standards.
• Ensure seamless transition of products from development to full-scale production.

Requirements

• Proven experience in optimizing manufacturing processes for consumer electronics or similar high-tech industries.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Strong analytical and data
