Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to uphold Health, Safety, and Environment standards across operations in and around Vereeniging. You will develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance within the Oil & Gas sector.

You will lead HSE trainings, conduct audits and risk assessments, and liaise with regulatory bodies during inspections in Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OHS, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in HSE management, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
• Experience developing and conducting HSE training and awareness programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems and programs.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
