Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to join a globally distributed engineering team. This role designs, implements, and maintains automated control systems for diverse industrial applications, all managed from a remote setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Science or related field.
Minimum 6 years’ experience in industrial automation and control systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA software.
Strong knowledge of robotics, VFDs, and industrial communication protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage remote projects.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
Conduct remote troubleshooting and provide technical support for automated systems deployed at client sites.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including electrical schematics, functional specifications, and code comments.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external clients via virtual channels to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
Oversee commissioning of automated systems, including remote setup and testing procedures.
Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0, proposing adoption where beneficial.
