Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
• ECSA registration (Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng.) is essential.
• 7+ years of geotechnical experience in mining.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software (GeoStudio SLOPE/W/SEEP/W, FLAC).
• Solid understanding of rock and soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations for open-pit and underground mining operations.
• Analyze soil/rock properties to assess stability and deformation characteristics.
• Develop geotechnical designs for mine infrastructure (tailings facilities, dumps, open pit slopes).
• Prepare technical reports with findings, calculations and risk assessments.
• Provide geotechnical support during construction and operation stages.
