Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Centurion team. You will support planning, design and construction for major mining and energy infrastructure, assessing ground conditions and providing expert recommendations.

You will conduct site investigations, perform laboratory testing, analyze geotechnical data and develop designs for foundations and earth structures, ensuring safety and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical/Civil with geotechnical focus.
• Master's degree advantageous.
• 6+ years in geotechnical investigations and design for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations (drilling, sampling, in-situ tests).
• Perform lab testing and analysis of soil/rock samples.
• Analyze data for ground stability, bearing capacity and settlement.
• Develop geotechnical designs for foundations, walls, slopes.
