Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus.
• PrEng registration with ECSA.
• 7+ years geotechnical experience.
• Experience with PLAXIS and GeoStudio.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical site investigations, including planning, execution, and supervision of drilling and in-situ testing programs.
• Perform advanced geotechnical analyses for foundation design (shallow and deep), slope stability, and earth retaining structures.
• Develop comprehensive geotechnical design reports, providing clear and practical recommendations.
• Utilize specialized geotechnical software for complex modeling and analysis.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery.
• Conduct quality control and assurance for geotechnical investigations and designs.
• Mentor and develop junior geotechnical engineers.
• Ensure compliance with SANS and international best practices.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and findings to clients and stakeholders in Stellenbosch.
