Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA, or eligibility.
• At least 7 years of relevant geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage detailed site investigations, including drilling, CPTs, and in-situ testing.
• Interpret geotechnical data and prepare comprehensive reports with clear recommendations.
• Design foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, and earthworks for various projects.
• Conduct advanced numerical modeling and analysis for complex geotechnical problems.
• Provide expert geotechnical advice to clients, contractors, and design teams.
• Oversee construction activities related to earthworks and foundations to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and contribute to the technical development of the team.
• Prepare proposals and assist in business development activities.
• Ensure all geotechnical work adheres to relevant SA standards and international best practices.
