Placements24 is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Stellenbosch practice. You will lead geotechnical investigations, analyze soil properties, and design foundations for diverse projects in the Western Cape.

The role requires a MSc/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering, Pr Eng registration with ECSA, and a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience. Proficiency in PLAXIS and GeoStudio is essential. Valid driver’s license for site visits is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSc or MEng in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong portfolio in foundation design and geotechnical investigations.

Responsabilités

• Lead geotechnical investigations and site reconnaissance.
• Analyze soil and rock properties from lab and field tests.
• Design shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, and slope stabilization.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and construction guidelines.
• Provide geotechnical advice to project teams and clients.
