Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Geoscientist to lead data integration and subsurface interpretation in Benoni, Gauteng. You will integrate seismic data, well logs and production info to generate robust models that guide exploration decisions.

In this role you will collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers, produce high-quality reports, and stay abreast of new geoscience methods and technologies to support innovation.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Geology/Geophysics or related Earth Science.
• 8+ years in exploration geoscience with data integration experience.
• Proficient in Petrel and DecisionSpace for interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Integrate seismic, well logs, core data and production information.
• Develop and validate subsurface models using advanced tools.
• Identify and assess exploration opportunities and risks.
• Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers and management.
• Prepare technical reports, maps and presentations for reviews.
