About the Role
Our client, a prominent independent exploration company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist with specialized expertise in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy for their Polokwane, Limpopo office. This critical role will focus on detailed analysis of core samples, well logs, and outcrop data to understand depositional environments and reconstruct geological history. Your insights will be vital in de-risking exploration prospects, defining reservoir quality, and optimizing well placement strategies. The Senior Geologist will work collaboratively with geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers to build robust subsurface models and contribute to exploration success in new and existing basins. This position demands a strong theoretical foundation coupled with practical application in interpreting complex depositional systems. The role requires a dedicated presence at our client’s Polokwane facility, fostering close collaboration with the regional technical team. Join an innovative company that values deep geological understanding and exploration expertise.
