Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geologist to lead exploration efforts in the Queenstown area of the Eastern Cape. This hands-on role involves identifying mineral prospects, designing programs, and interpreting geological data to guide resource discovery.

You will work with geoscientists, manage field teams, and develop 3D models and resource estimates, while maintaining safety and delivering technical reports to senior management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or related Earth Science field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mineral exploration.
• Proven ability in geological data analysis, modeling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan), and interpretation.
• Extensive field experience in various geological terrains and exploration settings.
• Strong understanding of mining industry best practices and safety protocols.
