About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Exploration Geologist to lead ambitious exploration projects in the Welkom area. This role is central to discovering new mineral deposits and expanding our client's resource base. You will be responsible for designing and executing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and managing field teams in remote or challenging terrains. The position requires a deep understanding of geological principles, advanced exploration techniques, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to resource definition. Your expertise will be vital in identifying and evaluating promising new exploration targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive exploration programs, including drilling, sampling, and geophysical surveys.
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify and delineate potential mineral deposits.
• Conduct detailed field mapping and lithological logging of exploration drill core.
• Manage budgets and timelines for exploration projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
