Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Geologist to join our field operations in Rustenburg. You will lead geological mapping, sampling, and modeling to support resource estimation and mine planning.

The role requires 6+ years in exploration geology within mining, with proficiency in Leapfrog, Datamine or Vulcan, and the ability to work on-site in challenging conditions. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related Earth Science.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on exploration geology experience within mining.
• Proficiency with geological modeling software such as Leapfrog, Datamine or Vulcan.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping and sampling to delineate mineral resources.
• Analyze core samples and assay data for ore body characteristics and grade.
• Develop geological models for resource estimation and mine planning.
• Provide input for mine design and production planning.
• Collaborate with mining engineers and surveyors for safe extraction.
• Prepare technical reports and interpretations for management.
