Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geologist to lead exploration initiatives in the Rustenburg region. You will plan and execute exploration programs, lead field teams, and work with mining engineers to identify mineral deposits and assess resources.

The ideal candidate has MSc in Geology with 8+ years in mineral exploration, and strong experience with Leapfrog, Vulcan, or Micromine. This role offers growth opportunities in a premier mining company.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in Geology or Economic Geology required.
• 8+ years experience in mineral exploration with focus on precious metals or PGEs.
• Proven expertise in geological modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage geological exploration programs and target generation.
• Conduct field mapping, surveys, and structural analysis to define mineralized zones.
• Interpret and integrate geophysical, geochemical, and drilling data for 3D models.
• Supervise drilling, core logging, and sampling protocols for data quality.
• Prepare geological reports, resource estimates, and exploration recommendations.
