Placements24 in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Geologist to join its exploration team. You will identify and evaluate energy resources, build integrated subsurface models and collaborate with engineers and geophysicists to support strategic exploration decisions.

The role requires a Master’s in Geology, 8+ years of exploration geology experience, and proficiency with Petrel and Kingdom Suite. Travel for conferences and fieldwork is possible; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or a related geoscience field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in exploration geology, preferably in oil & gas or renewable energy.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong knowledge of sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology and basin analysis.
• Experience with seismic interpretation and integrating diverse geological datasets.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
