Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Risk Manager for a leading financial services group in Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing the enterprise risk framework across banking and financial services units.

You will lead a team of risk analysts, monitor market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks, design stress tests, ensure Basel-aligned reporting, and advise senior management on risk appetite and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive financial risk management experience.
• Experience with risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Strong regulatory knowledge in the financial sector.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise risk framework and policies.
• Identify, assess, monitor key financial risks including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk.
• Design stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate resilience.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting standards (e.g., Basel).
• Develop and maintain risk models and reporting methodologies.
• Advise senior management and the Board on risk appetite and mitigation strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts and specialists.
