Qualifications

• CA(SA) or BCom in Accounting is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing finance teams and month-end reporting processes.
• SAP experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Finance Department.
• Support the Group Financial Manager in financial and strategic initiatives.
• Provide financial support to factories and management teams.
• Manage monthly costing processes and month-end costing runs.
• Review and distribute monthly Management Accounts.
• Oversee month-end, interim, and year-end journals and reporting.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate monthly financial calendars and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare interim and year-end planning schedules and audit files.
• Manage stock count planning, execution, and reconciliations across locations.
• Consolidate budgets for Board approval and monitor implementation.
• Verify SAP data uploads and data integrity.
• Assist with Group consolidations and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement within finance processes and reporting systems.

A leading manufacturing group, comprising 7 factories, 4 factory shops, an Export Division, and a Support Centre, are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Manager to join its Finance team.Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the Finance Department, supporting operational management across the Group, and ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information, reporting, costing, budgeting, and year-end financial processes.This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving financial excellence.
