Job summary

CA Financial Appointments seeks an experienced Accountant to own the bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting for a Constantia-based logistics business. You will lead a small finance team and ensure accurate financial information.

The role covers end-to-end accounting from daily transactions to management accounts and invoicing using Xero, with on-site work in Constantia, Cape Town. CA(SA) candidates or those with 5+ years of leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) preferred or SAICA/SAIPA articles in progress.
• Alternatively, a BCom (Hons) Accounting with 5+ years senior bookkeeping/accounting and proven leadership.
• Hands-on accounting from transactional processing through to management accounts.
• Solid working knowledge of Xero is essential.
• Confidence managing and developing junior finance staff.
• Able to work on-site in Constantia, Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function from bookkeeping through to management accounts and reporting.
• Manage the books on Xero, including reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
• Take responsibility for invoicing and ensuring accurate, timely financial information.
• Prepare management accounts and supporting business reporting requirements.
• Manage, mentor and train junior members of the finance team.
• Drive accuracy, strong controls and continuous improvement across finance processes.
