Placements24 in Durban seeks an experienced Banqueting & Events Manager to lead its events division. You will plan, coordinate and execute a wide range of functions from corporate meetings to weddings, ensuring flawless delivery and exceptional client experience in a busy hospitality environment.

The role requires a minimum of five years in event management, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in event management or banqueting.
• Proven track record managing corporate, social, and MICE events.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship abilities.
• Knowledge of catering operations and venue capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize and execute all banqueting and event functions at the hotel.
• Coordinate with clients from inquiry to execution to meet requirements.
• Develop proposals, timelines and budgets for events.
• Liaise with F&B, Catering, AV and Housekeeping for seamless delivery.
• Manage on-site execution and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to showcase facilities.
• Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor profitability and contribute to sales targets.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards.
