Placements24 in Durban is seeking a Banquets and Events Manager to lead the events team, coordinating corporate functions and social celebrations with flawless delivery and exceptional client satisfaction. You will work with clients from initial consultation through to event completion, overseeing logistics and ensuring seamless coordination with F&B, AV, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management within hospitality.
• Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in event planning software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute banquets and events within client specifications, budgets and timelines.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout planning.
• Coordinate with F&B, catering, AV and other departments to meet requirements.
• Manage event staffing including recruiting, training and supervising servers and supervisors.
• Conduct pre- and post-event meetings to gather feedback and identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor, supplier and client relationships.
