Placements24 is seeking a Lead Automotive Battery Systems Engineer for a fully remote role. You will spearhead the design, development, and integration of BMS and battery pack architectures for EV platforms, ensuring safety, reliability, and top performance.

Remote-first culture enables collaboration from any location. The role requires advanced degrees and 10+ years in automotive battery systems, with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years in automotive battery system design with at least 3 years in a lead/senior role.
• Deep knowledge of lithium-ion chemistries, pack design principles, and BMS.
• Experience with BMS design, implementation, and testing.
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262) and thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of automotive battery systems including pack architecture, thermal management, and safety.
• Oversee development and validation of BMS software and hardware.
• Conduct performance, safety, and reliability testing of battery components and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into vehicle platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and test plans.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Stay updated on EV technology developments and industry regulations.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables within budget and quality standards.
