Job summary
Placements24 invites an experienced Senior Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to join a global leader in EV technology. This fully remote role focuses on design, development, and validation of advanced BMS for high-performance packs, ensuring safety, longevity, and optimal performance.
You will work with cross-functional teams, implement SoC/SoH/SoP algorithms, perform modeling and HIL testing, and ensure ISO 26262 compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of BMS experience in automotive.
- Expertise in SoC/SoH/SoP estimation and cell balancing.
- Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems; knowledge of CAN/LIN.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety in automotive systems.
Responsibilities
- Design hardware and software architectures for EV BMS.
- Develop algorithms for SoC, SoH, and SoP estimation and cell balancing.
- Collaborate with battery cell engineers, power electronics, and software teams.
- Perform system-level modeling, simulation, and safety analysis of BMS.
- Create and execute rigorous test plans for BMS on HIL and prototypes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and troubleshoot complex BMS issues.
