Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Engineering Recruitment Consultant to join in Mahikeng, North West. You will drive recruitment for mechanical, civil, electrical, and chemical engineering roles, from client engagement to candidate placement, contributing to the growth of the engineering division.

The role requires a strong engineering market understanding, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in sourcing and placing engineering professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment consultancy, focusing on engineering recruitment.
• Proven success in sourcing and placing candidates for engineering disciplines.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, technologies, and industry requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport and credibility with engineering professionals.
• Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and advanced sourcing tools.
• Knowledge of the industrial and engineering landscape in Mahikeng, North West, is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle for engineering positions, from initial client consultation to final offer negotiation and onboarding.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top engineering talent, including experienced professionals and recent graduates.
• Conduct thorough candidate screening and technical assessments to ensure suitability for client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients and engineering professionals.
• Provide expert market intelligence on engineering talent availability, salary benchmarks, and industry trends.
• Actively participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and supporting client proposals.
• Ensure the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical practices throughout the recruitment process.
• Utilize recruitment databases, professional networks, and engineering‑specific platforms to identify and engage candidates.
