Job summary

Placements24 in Bloemfontein seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee electrical maintenance for industrial facilities. You will lead a team, ensure reliability of electrical systems, manage spares, and drive preventative maintenance while improving safety and performance.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial electrical maintenance, expertise with PLCs, VFDs, and high/low voltage systems, plus CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage systems, motor control and power distribution.
Proven expertise with PLC systems, VFDs and industrial instrumentation.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance plans for all electrical systems and equipment.
Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical faults and equipment failures in a timely manner.
Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for critical components.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures related to electrical maintenance.
Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement.
Oversee commissioning and maintenance of new electrical installations and upgrades.
