Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team for industrial electrical infrastructure in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The ideal candidate is a qualified electrician with at least 5 years in electrical maintenance and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, with strong leadership and safety compliance skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team for their industrial energy facilities in Vereeniging , Gauteng. This role is critical for ensuring the continuous and safe operation of essential electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, generators, and control equipment. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all electrical maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards and optimizing equipment reliability. This is a hands‑on leadership position for a qualified electrician with a proven ability to manage teams and maintain complex industrial electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the electrical maintenance team, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion.
• Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical faults, providing expert guidance for repairs and ensuring rapid resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of electrical spare parts and equipment, and oversee procurement processes.
• Conduct performance reviews for maintenance staff and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (e.g., Trade Test Certificate) with a strong background in industrial maintenance.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Proven experience with high‑voltage equipment, motor control centers, PLCs, and industrial electrical systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
