Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with infrastructure expertise to lead large-scale electrical projects. The role is remote-first with occasional site visits near Polokwane, overseeing design, safety, and reliability while mentoring junior engineers.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust electrical solutions, leveraging SCADA experience and HV systems know-how in a dynamic infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in electrical infrastructure design and project management
• Proven expertise in high-voltage systems and substations
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and control logic for infrastructure projects
• Experience with industry-standard design and analysis software

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, substations, and control systems.
• Conduct detailed load analysis, short-circuit calculations, and arc flash studies.
• Specify major electrical equipment and ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Review and approve electrical design documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
